Change Log

Here we summarize the updates and improvements we shipped in each Yeedu release, newest first.

v2.10.1​

A maintenance release on top of v2.10.0. We re-verified the full documentation set against the v2.10.1 build; the corrections that audit produced are described in Documentation accuracy below.

Documentation accuracy in v2.10.1​

We re-checked every UI surface against the running product and corrected the docs wherever they had drifted. The substantive corrections:

  • Job types. The create-job form offers JAR, Functions and Custom Code. Earlier docs listed "Jar / Python3 / Raw Scala / SQL". Those are the languages a Custom Code job can use, not job types.
  • Archiving is reversible. Earlier docs stated that a disabled job "can't be re-enabled". The Inactive pill's row menu offers Active, which restores it. The same applies to clusters.
  • Yeedu Assistant model roster. The assistant offers nine GPT models with GPT-5.1 as the default. Earlier docs listed Claude and GPT-3.5 models that the product doesn't offer, along with invented speed, cost and context-length figures.
  • Notebook documentation. Several pages described features that don't exist in the product (variable inspector, collaborative editing, notebook-level sharing, version history and compare, offline mode, export to PDF), so we removed all of them and put in their place the panels the editor actually has: Catalog Explorer, All Notebooks, Files, Widgets, Secrets, Advanced Options, Keyboard Shortcuts and Notebook Run History.
  • Cloud provider ordering. Provider lists across the product read OCI, OnPrem, GCP, AWS, Azure, and the docs now match.
  • Secret types. Seven types are offered, with ENVIRONMENT VARIABLE as the default.
  • Error diagnosis. Diagnose is available on ERROR rows in four places, not two, the workspace Runs and Jobs lists as well as the run-detail and cluster Events tables.

Git Integration​

  • Added Git support throughout the UI: repository cloning, branch management, commits, pushes, pulls, pull requests, and merge conflict resolution.
  • Added support for managing files inside Git-tracked folders.
  • Moved Git credential management into Settings.
  • Added secure provider-specific Git credential management.
  • Added tracking for background Git operations, including status, logs, and error details.

Notebook Enhancements​

  • Display multiple notebook instances in the UI.
  • Added auto-save for notebooks.
  • Introduced Markdown cell support.
  • Added per-cell LLM model selection in the notebook AI assistant.
  • Added Spark log viewing directly inside the notebook editor.
  • Enabled advanced options for Scala and SQL notebooks.
  • Added cluster creation directly from the notebook editor.
  • Automatically stop notebook sessions when the cluster enters an error state.
  • Added dbutils.widgets rendering support in the Widgets Panel after execution.
  • Added a Turbo toggle from the cluster dropdown in notebooks.
  • Added max_concurrency when creating or editing notebooks.
  • Improved notebook tooltips and permission-aware action states.
  • Added notebook run snapshot downloads for better debugging and analysis.
  • Added filtering for background notebook runs.
  • Included application_id in notebook run tracking.

Mounts​

  • Added full Mounts support in the UI, including create/edit forms, validations, pagination, and advanced configuration options.
  • Displayed encryption type in cluster mount settings.
  • Enabled better mapping between clusters and mounts.

Secrets and Validation​

  • Refactored secret creation and editing components.
  • Added metastore selection and validation support for secrets.
  • Added secret validation APIs and metastore validation.
  • Added multi-level secret validation for user, workspace, and tenant contexts.
  • Ensures secrets are validated before use.
  • Enabled creating and editing secrets from the notebook interface.

Metastore and Catalog Support​

  • Added MultiCatalog support for metastores.
  • Added a Fetch Catalogs button with default tag support.
  • Added metastore hover cards in cluster creation.
  • Added documentation and guide links on metastore create/edit pages.
  • Added Unity Catalog exploration support for schemas, tables, columns, functions, and volumes.
  • Extended catalog browsing to Hive with multiple authentication methods.

Clusters and Infrastructure​

  • Added cluster label enforcement options.
  • Added Proxmox as a supported cloud provider in cluster, cloud environment, and network forms.
  • Added node-level dashboard and detailed node view in cluster events.
  • Added Cluster and Node Events tabs with resource graphs, auto-refresh, and progress handling.
  • Added separate Create and Create & Start actions in the cluster form.
  • Added reserved default labels such as created_by and yeedu_orch_engine_hostname.
  • Added default disk configuration values and provider-specific IOPS guidance.
  • Added cluster label validation based on provider.

Workspace and Access Management​

  • Added a Create button in Metastore Access tabs for users, workspaces, and tenants.

AssistantX​

  • Refactored AssistantX with a better error diagnosis flow and improved UX.
  • Added LLM model selection support in AssistantX.

Icons and UX​

  • Replaced PrimeVue icons with a modern SVG icon library.
  • Updated credential icons to the new library.
  • Added documentation links from modules to their documentation sections.
  • Added hover details for Cloud Environment and Metastore dropdowns in cluster configuration.
  • Added show-details support for credential, boot disk, network, and metastore fields.
  • Added an Add Notebook popup on the workspace files page.
  • Added copy icons for system error messages in clusters, jobs, and Git logs.
  • Added clear icons for all search fields.
  • Added bulk copy icons for advanced package and repository lists.
